Case study
After six months of Clarity, systemic thinking is part of everyday leadership – without a single training session
RMS Radio Marketing Service GmbH & Co. KG, audio advertising sales house, 160 employees
Starting point
Leadership and organisational topics were often discussed at length without ever reaching a decision. Attention tended to focus on opinions seen through the eyes of individuals rather than on the underlying dynamics. Traditional consulting was out of the question, and there was no time for a lengthy training programme.
Solution
Silvia Kiesel first tested Clarity as a sparring partner herself and then won over five leaders (and later more) for the Clarity Guide module. Her idea: leaders should get support exactly when they were facing a difficult situation, an important decision or a demanding conversation.
The key people used Clarity, for example, to reflect on challenging leadership situations, to better understand team dynamics or to gain different perspectives on complex questions.
Impact
After six months, the users had developed a far more systemic view of many challenges. Rather than rushing to focus on visible symptoms, they more often managed to recognise patterns and make the real issues behind a situation discussable.
Along the way, Ray, the Clarity agent, became something like an additional colleague. In day-to-day work you would hear people say: "I need to talk that through with Ray."
After six months, our client summed it up: "Clarity has become an ongoing sparring partner and saves us external consulting costs. I've never experienced a comparable development format for practical relevance and impact in everyday leadership."
