Illustration on Clarity as a sparring partner in everyday leadership

Starting point

The organisation has been in the midst of a highly successful transformation for eight years. Its managing director, Dominik Lehmann, leads this transformation, drawing among other things on intrinsify's Future Leadership tools, to which he attributes its current economic success.

His goal was for these tools to make an even bigger difference in his leaders' everyday work. In particular, he wanted to encourage a stronger focus on actual value creation and economic viability, which every now and then fell victim to an aversion to conflict. He also wanted to embed the leadership principles more firmly among his leaders and build their awareness of the transformation's company-wide goals.

Solution

The organisation introduced Clarity as an everyday sparring partner, first for ten leaders and then for four more. To strengthen the effect, the managing director and his leaders agreed to prepare their challenges and meetings with Clarity: "No topic gets discussed unless we've reflected on it with Ray (the name of the Clarity agent) beforehand."

They also used Clarity in everyday leadership situations to draw on the Future Leadership tools at the very moment they were needed and to take on new perspectives.

Impact

After just three months, the managing director observes that they are working far more on the actual root causes of problems instead of treating symptoms. Knee-jerk reactions have given way to more considered, more effective action.

The hypotheses Clarity puts forward in daily use show them where to start in order to increase the likelihood of continuing to solve customers' problems successfully in the future.
